Hey podcast listeners. I’m taking a little pause for the podcast this summer, but I wanted to include some little short clips and tips and tools that I’ve been sharing in my private groups as a way to stay in touch with the summer. Enjoy
1 (16s):
My name’s Randi Rubenstein and welcome to the Mastermind Parenting Podcast where we believe when your thoughts grow the conversations in your home flow.
0 (29s):
Hey guys, it’s Randi. I am starting a new thing. The summer I’m taking a little pause from the podcast at episode 65. And I was just thinking, you know what? I’m going to make videos for the people on my weekly Mastermind Parenting report list. So these videos, what I want to cover is a new thing that we’ve just recently coined and it’s called the Mastermind Mascot works and the Mastermind Mascot program. And this kind of just came to fruition organically.
0 (1m 10s):
One of the moms in my mastermind has had tremendous, tremendous results with her son a year ago, he’s eight. And from when he was three, she knew he, something was a little different about him. He was very strong-willed. He was very controlling. His meltdowns were intense and explosive, and she’s gone to every export expert and resource under the sun. And she, nothing was working and nothing was working. So she was just kind of up for anything. And a little over a year ago, she randomly came to a workshop I was doing. And now a year later organically, her child has become our first inaugural Mastermind Mascot secretly.
0 (2m 1s):
She was Real. She was thinking her child didn’t have any friends. He was having these explosive meltdowns up in the house. She couldn’t even take a shower without a babysitter at the house because she didn’t, she didn’t trust how things were going to go down with her other two children. And now this child, she sent me a video. The other day of him playing with a balloon. She’s a two hours, two hours on a Sunday playing with a balloon with his brother. And I see the mom is laying on the couch with our little throw a blanket and our little cute painted toes up. So she is just hanging out on the couch, has her two little boys, eight and five, or playing with the balloon.
0 (2m 47s):
Now this as a child that literally was like a terrorist in the house. Like nobody could touch anything. You couldn’t come into his room, you couldn’t hit anything was gonna set him or anything. And now he’s engaging with me as the math, the first Mastermind Mascot Who basically, I told him, this is what a Mastermind Mascot does you go out into the world and you solve problems because you have learned how to solve problems within yourself. When you have big feelings, what do you do? He says, well, I’m feeling really angry.
0 (3m 29s):
I go and I take a breath and then I don’t go running around the house, acting so angry and, and, and letting everyone know, know how angry I am. I go take a breath and then I can talk about why I was angry. So I don’t have to act like that anymore. I said, that’s right. I said, so Mascot the, Mastermind. What we do is we help kids to feel like your best selves, your most confident self. And when you go out into the world, you show other kids how to solve problems, because you’ve learned how to solve problems in yourself. And so you go out and you basically make the world a better place.
0 (4m 14s):
This is our Mastermind Mascot series. And so I’ll be sharing. Little stories, have lessons that are Mastermind Mascot it’s are out to teach and things that they’ve learned. And, and I just think it will be a fun thing to do with you guys. And ultimately, where I’m going with all of this is I eventually would love to have a master Mastermind Mascot book series. So it would be something that we’ll be the story’s that parents could read with their children and learn the concepts and help the children learn the concepts too, of how to go out into the world as master mind, problem-solvers little people who master their minds and don’t let their big emotions hijack their brain take over their day.
0 (5m 7s):
And they no out how to go out and solve problems and help other people solve problems as well. So hope you guys are well, and that’s what I’ve got for you this week. Bye-bye
1 (5m 20s):
