Parenting is hard but it shouldn’t be

this hard.

It is exhausting to drudge through the day feeling like you’re barely hanging on. You love your child’s strong-willed spirit, but it’s taking over the entire family, creating chaos, and everyone is struggling.

Here’s the secret that no one’s talking about: the old parenting methods DO.NOT.WORK. in our modern world and our most challenging kiddos are here to “inspire” us to learn a better way.
The more we attempt to threaten, punish and control them, the more our most “outspoken” kiddos dig in their heels. If you’re here, you probably already know that.

SO YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING WHAT DOES WORK?!

Due to popular demand, we have finally made our N.I.C.E. Parenting Tools, found only in our signature 12-Week Basics Bootcamp Program, available as a

100% online self-study course!

You can take your family from

surviving to thriving!

I’m Randi, the founder of Mastermind Parenting, a neuroscience inspired behavior program that helps parents stay calm during button pushing moments with your kids so that you can support them in becoming the absolute best versions of themselves.

On my journey with my own strong-willed kiddo, I discovered something amazing that totally transformed my household, my children and most importantly, MYSELF.

New parenting tools that work,

today.

MASTERMIND PARENTING

Our kids are over-stimulated in a way that we never were. They are overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, and it’s no wonder really that our highly sensitive (strong-willed) ones are constantly on the edge of an outburst. What our kids really need is for us to become the adults we hope they grow up to be!

LEADERSHIP COMMUNICATION

I’ve never met a parent whose goal wasn’t to be a good mom or dad. However, our desire for our kids to be happy all the time can greatly impact the way we guide them and often stops us from being the pack leader they need.

MASTERING YOUR MIND

Did you always swear you’d never repeat the mistakes your parents made? And yet one day you open your mouth and out comes the “unhelpful” words of your own mom or dad?! Don’t worry, you’re a normal human who simply repeats patterns. That is, until you take back control through self-awareness and mind mastery. Learning the tools to “master your mind” is how you can close the gap between the parent you want to be and the parent you show up as when you’ve had 3 hours sleep and your kid is pushing your buttons.

Learn the Mastermind Parenting Basics Framework: Needs, Investigate, Communicate, and Enforce (N.I.C.E.), to

solve any parenting problem!

From defiance to meltdowns, disrespect, morning mayhem, bedtime battles, homework struggles, and more, the goal of learning these tools is to reach even our most challenging kids, while also helping you become a connected family that truly gets along!

Create a peaceful household

You will take your family from surviving to thriving, even with strong-willed kiddos.

We’ve been there, and our community is ready to

support you.

As a mother of 3 children, I’ve lived the experience that “you are only as happy as your unhappiest child” for 23 years and counting. Having a challenging kid impacts every member of your family. As I continue to learn, these kids are placed into our lives for a reason – we are being called to more…to do this “parenting thing” differently than the way most of us were raised. We can listen and keep growing alongside our kids or we can walk on eggshells and feel imprisoned in our own homes. I choose the growing path. Creating a village, consisting of like-minded parents, helps me to stay accountable to myself, my family and my chosen community. Bottom line: Our strong-willed ones are calling us to lead them in becoming the change we’d all like to see in the world.. Here is how the Mastermind Parenting N.I.C.E. tools have helped…

The biggest shift has definitely been my behavior and how I handle situations, and I don’t feel hopeless and overwhelmed anymore. We say I’m sorry a lot more in this house...all of us, me, my kids and my husband. My 5-year-old HSC hasn’t even had a true meltdown in a few weeks, probably, and they used to be almost every day. When my 3-year-old was having a tantrum, my 5-year-old even said “mommy doesn’t respond to tantrums until you’re calm”, so he does listen to things I say every now and then! I try to let the kids problem solve together when they both want a toy, we use timers a lot. My husband and I are also ultra focused on basic needs like sleep and food, and recognize when we’re in a situation that is not going to be resolved until our kids sleep or eat! 2 positive choices had also been fantastic, especially with my 3-year-old who likes to feel in control at this time in his life. So much progress made here since April! I’m looking forward to continuing!

There are a lot of parenting programs, coaches, blogs, podcasts and books out there! I should know! I have bought, engaged with, listened, read, and highlighted my way through many of them. Some are good, but few are great! Mastermind Parenting is great! Randi brings a rare combination of expertise, original and carefully curated resources, real-world experience, humility and authenticity to her program. I have been with Mastermind Parenting for over a year and a half and it has been a true agent of change in my family AND my life. Real and lasting change. The kind of deep enduring changes that impact the present and the future generations of your family. To me this is priceless and I am grateful.

Randi is BEYOND amazing and has far exceeded our expectations of what we sought to get out of a parenting class. She has allowed us to see the world through new perspectives and parents from a place of calm, love, and connection. Her tools have not only improved our relationship with our kids, but have also allowed us to connect and grow in our marriage and work life.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your support and for sharing your life and stories. I feel blessed to be part of it and to learn and grow alongside you. I am a better version of myself because of this group and so thankful for that.

Just look at what these Masterminders

have to say.

I just wanted to tell you all that I truly believe that what you focus on grows. I’ve been listening to Randi Dunn-Rubenstein say it for a while, but it occurred to me in the last day or so how true it is. Before we started basics, my strong-willed kiddo was so difficult all the time. But when we started basics and my husband and I shifted the focus from correcting what he was doing wrong to working on how we showed up as parents, everything changed. I am not saying any of us are perfect (far from it) but we spent years in therapy focusing on him and his misbehavior once we took the spotlight off of “fixing” him and shifted our perspective and how we relate to him his whole demeanor shifted. Kind of crazy! Thanks for reading.

I never knew there could be so much joy in the HARD. I am the type that grew up seeking the easy. Randi has said to lean into the hard so many times, which I resisted until it became impossible not to surrender to it due to life circumstances. Being in it has made me more present and grateful. So thankful for this community and for becoming a more grateful, present and kind human.

Erika M.

Thanks for the coaching today! I was making too much of it. I need to remember to keep it simple, let her sit with her feelings, good or bad. But when I hear “I just hate him so much”, I want her to figure out why, I know why, but I want her to know why and address it. That’s not what I’m here for.

Have had productive conversation with 11-year-old about 5th grade drama and kindness, I think we did well with it!! It’s a little draining sometimes but it’s been good.

Big mind shifts are happening for me! It's amazing once I decided to focus on some areas and stop some behaviors that made a differenced.
2019 Mantra: Decide. Commit. Do.
Looking back, I never 100% committed to the changes.

The changes feel SO good and have been surprisingly easier than I expected. 🙂
